Key Responsibilities:
Write compelling stories about community events, emerging trends, and news.
Explore opportunities for investigative and enterprise stories.
Cultivate meaningful in-person connections with municipal and community leaders, as well as the wider public.
Attend various meetings and events, capturing both stories and accompanying visuals to enrich our reporting.
Assist with the start-up of a weekly newsletter focused on interesting people, places and happenings in Oxford Hills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Reside within (or being willing to relocate to) the Oxford Hills area providing an authentic local perspective.
Possess clear, precise writing skills, capable of effectively communicating stories that resonate with our audience.
Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in every aspect of reporting.
Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and establish meaningful relationships across diverse communities.
Competence in leveraging social media platforms for both content promotion and story research.
Must possess reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license.
A Bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent experience is required.
